I have come to believe that American media is a big hoax and manipulation of news by the competing interest groups in the United States. News is not what a casual observer might think happens around the world, but what news media would like you to see. So if you think columbine school shootings were a big news in 1999 but Minnesota school shootings are not, that is because Minnesota happened in a native reservation and it seems they have their own police and jurisdiction and hence you as someone who gets his news from TV/radio/Newspapers is getting doctored news about the people that matter to America, that is white suburban middle class. And who exactly cares how many people are dying in Africa out of malnutrition, they don't matter to American media (or may just a passing reference may be enough for them). They don't figure in the agenda that American media and business have set out. That agenda is all about money, money and did we forget to say money.
As someone said, in communism you must be careful of your government, but in capitalism you must be careful of anything that you see, hear and talk.

I like that. The further we run from the jungle, the closer it seems to get.
